Prince Frank Ukonga remark on Chinua Achebe: He was a legend that re invented the African literature in the spirit of Negritude, repositioning African culture, history, mores, pathos, ethics,institutions, senses and sensibilities as superior and second to non among men of subsequent creation.He was one of the greatest phenomenon of the 20th century mankind reminiscing the quartet of European classics of Pushkin,Gogol, Tolstoy and Turgenev reincarnating the same genre in the African quartet of Chinua Achebe, Christopher Okigbo, Prof Wole Shoyinka and John pepper Clack and perhaps that is the quartet Prof Wole Shoyinka referred to in his greatest eulogy of all times on Chinua Achebe that has the quality and potency to move even the most mundane of scoundrels to tears and joy...in that continuous paradox of the faith and destiny of mankind.He will be greatly missed by the human civilization of declining mankind.May his gentle soul rest in peace.
