Nigerian Supreme Court today held that the April 2011 polls that brought Mr. Goodluck Jonathan to power substantially complied with Nigeria's electoral act.
Seven justices -man panel of the Supreme Court agreed unanimously that
Jonathan won the election
Justice Olufunlola Oyelola Adekeye who lead the judgment said that
the April polls that brought H.E. President Goodluck Jonathan has a substantially complied with the laws of the Nigerian Nation state and
there by putting to an end to the case brought before it by General
Mohammadu Buhari challenging the April polls.
while five
other justices and the Chief Justice of Nigeria agreed with the ruling.
