Breaking News: Edo 2016 guber Polls: SDP Inaugurate Executive Committee ,Strategize to win 2016 Edo guber polls; " SDP Will produce the Next Governor of Edo State - Isha Alau'
The Social Democratic Party - Edo state chapter held its quarterly meeting on the 13th of February 2016 and was well attended by all the members of the states Exco and the Local Government Chairmen and secretaries across Edo state and the following resolutions were adopted:
1* The inauguration and empowerment of the State Executive committee in accordance with the Party constitution of Article 13.6 that enablers the composition of the state executive committee to carry out the functions of the congress in between congresses
2* The inauguration and empowerment of the state working committee in accordance with the constitution of SDP Article 13.7
3* Vote of confidence passed on the chairman of SDP His Excellency Prince Frank Ukonga and the , states Secretary Chief Saka Sedu and the state Exco Edo state after the presentation of INEC endorsed certificate of Return as Edo state chairman and secretary by Prince Frank Ukonga and chief Saka Seidu issued recently by the Party to the duo by the National Director of Administration of SDP Abuja; the Executive committee and joint session of the state Exco , Local Government Chairmen and Ex official members of the party passed a vote of confidence of the chairman SDP Edo state His Excellency Prince Frank Ukonga , the States Secretary Chief Saka Sedu and the states Exco.
4* The State Executive committee has decided to dissolve the Edo North Local Government Exco and the Senatorial District Exco formed urgently in the emergency of the 2015 general polls due to the restive Nature of Edo North districts, the constant decamping from the party in Edo North due to non inclusive leadership of the SDP leaders of Edo North,indiscipline, insubordination and other anti pqrty activities.. and an Ad Hoc committee has been set up headed by the Secretary of ther Party Chief Saka Sedu as chairman and Mr Dickson Oahre as Secretary, while Chief Riliwanu Oshiobugie Bonvis has been appointed as the caretaker Organizing Secretary of Edo North that is also a member of the organizing committee as Deputy Chairman
5* Discipline and anti arty activities : it was brought to the notice of the state Executive committee that some persons impersonate as the leaders of SDP Edo states and as the chairman board of trustee of the party' this is to put the record straight that these are spurious claims, lies and impersonation...the National chairman of the Party SDP is His Excellency Chief Olu Falue - GCON- and the Edo state leader of of the party is His Excellency Prince Frank Ukonga, who is the chairman of the party in Edo state and the only duely approved person that can speak and go into deals and aprove all inter party cooperation on behalf of the party and the general public is hereby notified to disregard any person or persons imopersonating as the chairman BOT and the leaders of the party in Edo state.
6* That One Cornelius Oreruan of Owan East who contested on the platform of SDP for House of Assembly in the 2015 general polls has been suspended under article 20 section 2 for anti party activities, insurbodination and impersonation and by the constitution of SDP Article 20 section 5 and 7 a suspendent member od SDP size t be a member of SDP ad any body that does business with that person on the behalf of SDP does so at his or her own risk. General Public please take note.
7* That during the 2015 polls, the leaders of Edo north collected 12 tickets of one senate for Hon Abubakar Momoh, 3 House of Representatives tickets for Obas Ekehinde , Hon Agbaje and Hon Agbukor, and 8 House of Assembly tickets for Hon Coker Bello, Hon Anselm Agbabi, Hon Cornelius Oreruan, Hon Egivin, Hon Razak Momoh alias star black etal but till today members of Edo North SDP led by Hon Abubakar Momoh has not redeemed the pledge to pay up the nomination fess of N15 million Naira owed to the party. The chairman of Edo state SDP did not waiver the nomination fess neither did the National chairman who insisted that all persons must pay up nomination fees. This is a very serious anti party activity as it contravenes article 12 section 2 of SDP Constitution of failure to comply with financial obligations to the party..This is the last warning to the leaders of the party in Edo North to pay up or face suspension and subsequent expulsion...meanwhile the case of this gross anti party activity has been forwarded to the National working committee of SDP for appropriate disciplinary action.
8* The state Executive committee by the powers conferred on it by the constitution to exercise the powers of the congress as in Article 13.6 of SDP constitution hereby adopt the resolution to expand the Edo SDP EXCO from a ten member Exco to the full capacity of 25 member Exco. All senatorial districts are to fill its quota while 5 positions have been reserved for the re organized Edo North when they are to be re -absorbed into the party after their Local Government and Senatorial District congresses. Guideline to that effect of Edo North LGA Congress ad Senatorial District congress will be published by the state Executive committee to give all members an even level playing field to be able to contest for any party office.
8* Subsequent to the section 7 above the state Executive committee approved the 21 member Exco of SDP in Edo state to serve as the State Working committee under the distinguished chairmanship of H.E. Prince Frank Ukonga as chairman and Chief Saka Sedu as secretary...
9* Ratifications of the Local government Chairmen of SDP Edo state after the various local Government and world congress was done by the state Executive council and the following LGA Chairmen emerged

c* Hon Mathew Emasunmere chairman Esan Central

k* Charles Imade chairman Orionmwon LGA
l* Hon Osaro Uwaifo chairman Oredo LGA
m* all the LGA chairmen of the interim Exco of the Edo North set up under emergency expediency to facilitate Hon Engnr Momoh to contest the Senate seat of Edo North has been hereby dissolve, The senatorial District Exco also dissolved, and a caretaker Committee set up by the State Executive Committee has mandated Hon Bonvis Oshiobugie Rilwanu to become the new acting Edo North State Organizing secretary ,act on behalf of the state chairman to discharge all the activities of the party in Edo North with loyalty to the party ideology and constitution. Reorganize the party and report to the state Secretariat, Fix dates for LGA congresses and senatorial districts congresses in consultations with the state Exco.The mandate of Hon Oshiobuge Riliwanu terminates at the senatorial District Level...all matters that concerns the state and National levels of the SDP party is not within his jurisdiction according to party constitution.
We hereby appeal to all members of the Edo North district of SDP to cooperate with Hon Bonvis Oshiobugie Riliwanu as he is the authentic Organizing secretary of Edo North
10* The state Executive committee by the powers vested on it by the SDP constitution hereby declare that SDP will contest the Edo governorship polls and will present a party flag bearer and we shall not be endorsing a candidate from another party but we can cooperated through our relevant associations of inter-party relations of FRPP and IPAC
