The Edo 2020 Governorship Election time table is out to be held on  the 19th of September 2020 while the Primaries and Campaign to begin as from June 2ed, 2020. 
This will be a repeat of the 2016 Guber elections by the line up of Contenders as well as pretenders.
Among the Notable contenders for the seat of the governor of Edo state is HE Obaseki the Current governor, HE Prince Frank Ukonga who had contested the position and narrowly missed it two times and HE Pastor Ize Iyamu who contested in 2016 and missed it once.
The battle would be a straight 3 Horse Race of APC, DA and the PDP and DA –Democratic Alternative Party is battle-ready to win this time around. If you recall the last LGA election DA fielded over 192 Councillorship candidates and 18 Chairmanship and Deputy Chairmanship positions at par with the APC the ruling incumbent party. This means DA- has solid structures all over the nooks and cranny of Edo state.
Nevertheless, there are other contenders among whom include bar Ken Imansuagbon- Mr. Riceman, HE Odubu former Deputy Governor Edo state, Chief Engr Ogiewonyi -former NNPC  Top brass, Chief Solomon Edebiri, Bishop Akhalame, Chief Cosmos Irabor, Chief Osadolor, Chief Gbajumo Ogearebva the former Chairman Oredo Local Government Council and a host of other contenders are warming up for the great battle of the Titans. The National Chairman of the Democratic Alternative Party HE Prince Frank Ukonga speaking with Newsmen at the premises of the Federal High Court Abuja Today hailed the Federal High Court Ruling stopping INEC from delisting 33 political Parties saying
"It's a great Victory for Multi-Party Democracy in Nigeria and Sub Saharan Africa"
Justice Anwuli Chikere the presiding Judge made the restraining order while ruling on a suite the Political Parties filed against the Attorney General of the Federation and INEC.
