Prince Frank Ukonga talking to newsmen recently in Abuja exploded that the DA Democratic Alternative Party is in the Anambra guber Race and that the Party is getting acts together forming structures addressed to win the Anambra guber polls.
"We have set up a committee at DA to assist Chief Edward Okoye -the Chairman Anambra state DA to look into the Anambra state guber polls and strategize for DA to win the guber Race come Nov 2017.and Isha Alua- we are hopeful of victory at the polls. DA Anambra polls Primaries comes on the 29th of August 2017 and we shall be fielding a credible , formidable candidate for the Anambra state guber polls" the amiable National chairman said.

The Keenly contested IPAC National election was held on the 21st of August 2017 at Merit House in Abuja and was attended by the chairmen of all the political parties in Nigeria-National Chairman of Accord Party (AP), Mallam Mohammadu Lawal Nalado, National Chairman of the Labour Party (LP) Alhaji Abdulkadir Abdulsalam ,Chief Joseph Avazi Nat Chairman AD- Alliance for Democracy contested the Chairmanship positions.
Mr. Garshon Benson of the Democratic Peoples Party   (DPP) and Chief Sam Eke of GPN,contested  the Deputy National Chairman position, Chief Perry Opara of the National Unity Party (NUP) and chief Okoye of UDP Contested for the position of  Secretary General.

 Elected are Aye Georgina Dakpokpo the Nat Chairperson of Young Democratic Party (YDP) as Deputy Secretary General, Dr Yakubu Shendam National Chairman of the New Generation Party of Nigeria (NGP) as Publicity Secretary, Reverend Olusegun Peters National chairman of the  Democratic Peoples Congress (DPC) as Financial Secretary and Engr Okey Chikwendu as Treasurer. 

45 of the 46 registered political parties participated in the election.

The Event was chaired by the National Chairman of INEC Hon Professor Mahmood Yakubu and all the top executives of Political Parties in Nigeria were in attendance. The workshop harped on the imperatives of internal party Democracy as a necessity to building a vibrant democratic dispensation in Nigeria ans Sub Saharan Africa.

The Inter Party Advisory Council - IPAC of the Nigerian federation , an Association of Chairmen of Political Parties held its second annual conference in Yar  Adua center in Abuja on the 1st of August 2017. The celebrated event was graced by top dignitaries, shaker and movers of the Nigerian Political economy. The Event was chaired by H.E. Atiku Abubakar former Vice President of Nigeria. The National chairman of INEC Professor Mahmud Yakubu was the special Guest of Honour  ,all the National chairmen of Political parties were present or represented.H.E. Prince frank ukonga National Chairman of DA-Democratic Alternative graced the event in grand style .Governor of Bauchi state H.E Mohammed Abubakar with his wife the First Lady of Bauchi state graced the event. Delta state governor  H.E.Okowa was represented by the Deputy Governor. Awards were given by some governors that had performed excellently.IPAC Chairmen and Secretaries from all the 36 states of the Nigerian Federation attended the conference and certificate of  Service were issue to all of them.
