Govt has increased the pump prices of petrolium products, liberalized the exchange rate markets in line with market forces and other reforms addressed to generate more monetary resources to the govt which it is alledged would be used for infrastructual developments, social spendings, healthcares etc.
These actions taken suddenly without any warning signals to the peoples of Nigeria is causing untold hardship of the peoples of Nigeria as Hunger, unemploment, scarvenging, crimes, bandictory, prostitution , looting of public and private treasuries has been on the increase.
Though the govt grant palliatives that does not alegedly reach the peoples and more of bugus claims we should be mindful that a Nation cannot be ruled by palliatives and propaganda.The Govt need to roll up its sleeves and get down to serious work with a pragmatic roadmap to pull the country out of the impending doomday dread.
Hunger, death , riuns and grieves has become the identity of many in the polity and more than 120 million of the 200 million population estimate of Nigeria has been pushed below poverty level.
While the cost of running the Govt as in allocations to the Govt and Senate and National and State Assemblies have not really showned a peoples oriented policy thrust of governace.Gratitude
