.NEW HOPE FOR EDO STATE IN 2012 ELECTIONS

OUR PREROGATIVES:
When we come in to power in Edo State and in Nigeria in Generality our promissory note to the peoples of the state and Nigeria in generality shall be the followings:
EDUCATION: FREE AND QUALITATIVE EDUCATION AT ALL LEVELS: Our prerogative at SDMP is to provide free and qualitative Education to all the citizen of Edo state at all levels. This is our number one priority. We shall immediately established the following institutions to balance the educational development of the geopolitics of Edo state where some LGA are marginalized: In this context we shall establish ;
THE EDO NORTH UNIVERSITY [ IGARRA]-To be named after one of the greatest leaders of Edo state who believe in free and qualitative education for all as Germaine to the entrenchment of democracy in Nigeria and sub- Saharan Africa-Chief Gabiel Onaivi Ukonga.
OBA IREDIAWA UNIVERSITY- BENIN, CHIEF ANTONY ENAHORO UNIVERSITY- UROMI.SCHOOL OF NURSING AND MIDWIFERY IN OSOSO, AGBEDE,AFUZE, ABUDU.
2]JOBS 4 ALL:Our priority number 2 at SDMP is to provide jobs for all the citizens of Edo state when we come to power. We shall begin a massive direct labor employment to reconstruct all the infrastructures of Edo State which will create not less than 2 million jobs… most of the industries we shall attract to the state shall also create jobs.
3]INDUSTRIALIZATION OF EDO STATE; We belief at SDMP- as Social Democrats which is the philosophy of central Left ,that a Modern states should be a mixed economic state. We do not subscribe to the philosophy that state government should keep off from establishing factories and business leaving it only to the private sector that mostly think of their profits and good returns to share holders…we belief that government should establish companies, factories, research institutions, colleges, universities as a means to enhancing the social , economic ad industrial glories of the people… and in this context we promise to establish the following factories within 100 days of our government:
100 cottage industries in each of the 18 local governments Areas of the state.Iron and Steel Rolling Mill at Ibillo,Petroleum Refinery at Benin –City,Motor assembly plant at Auchi,Cement Manufacturing Plant at Igarra,, Tyre manufacturing at Ososo,Asbestos and building material factory at Okpella,Canning and textile company at Agbede,Ceramic and building material company at Igueben, Cocoa processing factory at Okpe, Paint company at Osomorika,, Confectionaries company at Uneme Nekwa,Cashue proccessing company at Afuza, Cassava plant at Jatto, Tool Manufacturing rolling mill at Agenebode,New electric power plant at Uromi,Bus assembly plant- Benin,Computer/ electronic factory to manufacture radio sets, television, electronics ,GSM hand sets etc at Okada- Benin,Pulp and paper facory[ mill] at Igarra, Asphalt plant at Afuze, New power plant at Irua,Ojirami,, Igarra,Motocycle assemby plant Agenebode/ Jatto, cable making factory at Ubiaja, Ceramic company at Siloko,uzeba,Truck manufacturing company at Ekpoma, Car manufacturing company at Igarra/Ikpeshi…Plastic manufacturing companies at Atte,epedo, Cocoa processing plant at Lampese,Uromi, ekpoma..Brewering and bottling companies at Eghor, Warake, Ewu….
Note all these factories has been shared equally among the three senatorial District so that no area will cry merginalization and this will make EDO State the greatest state of Nigeria and Sub – Saharan Africa…it can be achieve … once there is a will ,there is a way..
4] ECONOMIC/ BANKING/ INSURANCE /FINANCIAL HOB OF NIGERIA & AFRICA:
We at SDMP plan to make Edo state of Nigeria the financial hob of the country and that of Africa… with the establishment of numerous industries it is just natural that ALL Banks and financial houses shall begin to relocate their Nigerian head offices to Edo state … we will not be the people to beg them but they will come and beg us to be part of our great progress that will be obvious to all and sundry.. it has been done before in Japan, Asian with the emergence of Asian Tigers of Indonesia, India, Korea./.. so ours will not be new…
5]NEW MEGA CAPITAL CITY…for this porpoise we shall construct a new satellite city in Benin to be called the NEW MEGA CITY- Which will be thE plan of the MEGA CITY-2 of Brussels – Belgium… we shall invite the architects that designed the Mega City 2 of Brussels to come and design the New – Benin Mega city- TO BECOME THE FINANCIAL BUSTLING HOB OF THE ENTIRE Africa..
6]AGRICULTURE: Our priority is to form government large farms , big mechanized farms and we shall invite the great farmers of the United States of America to come and help us to feed the entire Nigeria from Benin as well as feed the entire Africa…
7]ELECTRICITY AND POWER GENERATION; Because of our desire for accelerated development we cannot wait on the restrof the Nation of Nigeria to jug up to meeting our running pace… so we shall go solo in the aspect of power generation . we need not less than 10,000MW of electricity to power all the factories , farms, and companies, as well as sell power ot other states ands countries of Africa…So we shall invite the Russian Government as well as the Ukraine Government to come and establish the power plants in Edo state. It will be a partnership.
8] TRANSPORTATION,commerce and manufacturing:We shall invest directly in transportation; we shall constructs new roads, airports, metros, dams,and other security infrastructures through direct labor.. we shall begin the assembly of Brazilian buses in partnership with Brazil and South Africa. We shall begin the manufacture of cars and trucks in partnership with China, Japan and korea.
9]TOURISM, HOTELS, WOMEN. YOUTH AND CULTURAL DEVELOPMENT: We shall develop tourism, we shall build 5 star hotels in each of the senatorial districts and 3 star hotel in each local government capital while other villages and towns that want to build their own hotel and recreation centers shall be assisted through financial and building material support. We shall give loans to market women and widows. We shall build new modern market stall , we shall make Edo state the largest distribution center of good s and services in the country as we are located specifically as the gate way state to all other parts of the country ,we are in the middle of Nigeria and west Africa … we shall construct whorehouses and encourage majour distributors including stockist to come and invest in Edo state
10] SECURITY AND ANTI CORRUPTION: Every body knows that the government of Social Democrats does not tolerate nonsense.. the Government of Germany is being ruled by the German Social Democratic Party, Same with the Unity Party of Russia is a Social Democratic Party in Government, as well as Brazil, China and Mexico that is why they all came together to form the BRICS State which is the Richest and most exclusive union of Nations in the world with more than 20 trillion dollars in assets as at today… we shall be counting on the support of the BRICS state and we shall apply as an observer status which will open up lots of assistance to Edo Peoples…In the case of anti corruption we shall send to jail any body found looting the treasury of the state.. corruption , indiscipline, laziness, indiscretion, stupidity, lackadaisical attitude to work will not be tolerated.
11]CULTURAL DEVELOPMENT: We shall host FESTAC 2013 inviting everybody and the whole world to Edo state to come and celebrate our success with us..
12]AVIATION;We shall form Edo State Airline which will fly our flag to all the nook and cranny of the world.. we are a State Government and we shall be constructively engaged with other states and governments within the tenets of true federalism. Our Airline shall be great and comparable to Ethiopian Airlines, American Airline, Russian Airlines, Ghana Airways etc..It shall be managed profitable in partnership with the United States of America and Great Britain.
13]HEALTH FOR ALL: We shall invest heavily in the health industry. We shall provide new modern hospitals in each Local Government Areas and clinic in all villages and other town in the state. We shall build three Medical teaching universities with specialized medical hospitals like the University of Ibadan Teaching Hospitals In Ibadan in each senatorial district of the state.
14]HOUSING: We shall provide houses for all citizen of Edo state… we shall build new portable and less expensive flats for families.
15]WATER: We shall provide water for all. We shall build new dams and also generate electricity.
16]FOREIGN RELATIONS: Edo state indegines are the most widely traveled in Sub Saharan Africa. So it is imperative that we protect all our citizen all over the world…we shall open commissions and Edo state Embassies all over the world addressed to market the image, goods and services of the great Edo state people on a global magnitude.. we shall open up embassies in Italy, Britain, Germany, Russia, USA.India, china, japan, BRAZIL, GHANA , South Africa, Norway and,Australia..this will attract foreign Direct investment –FDI.
HOW TO RAISE DEVELOPMENTAL FINANCE FOR ALL THESE PROJECTS; We at SDMP have worked seriously and mapped out stratagems of how to raise colossal developmental finance for our projects.. this is a big secret and we shall not tell any body so that the idea will not be stolen.
