The National chairman of National conscience Party, Dr Yusuf Tanko on
the behalf of all members of the great NCP party, one of the greatest legacy of
chief Gani Ifawehinmi congratulated His Excellency Prince Frank Ukonga on his
election as the new chairman of Social Democratic Mega Party. Dr Tanko urged
for continuous cooperation between SDMP and NCP in Edo state as well as on
National levels which could end up in a formidable merger addressed to swerve
power form the A CN Party in Edo state in particular and edge of the PDP
government of President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015 general polls. This will give
the new proposed merger of NCP and SDMP a clear leverage to grab the presidency
come 2015 polls.
He also chided the government of A CN in Edo state for reneging on
promises made to the alliance parties that cooperated and allied with the A CN
for His Excellency Comrade Oshiomhole to emerge as the winner. Noting that
without the support of the allied parties of NCP, SDMP, LP and the CPC that
great victory of A CN in Edo state would have been an illusion and a forlorn
hope. So he advice Governor Adams Oshiomhole to go back to the agreed status
quo anti bellum of forming a Unity Government of all the political parties
involved in the great election of Edo 2012 that is adjudged the best election
in Nigerian History and on one of the best in the world.
In his own reply His Excellency Prince Frank Onaivi Ukonga thanks the
National Chairman of NCP Dr Yusuf Tanko and further reported the behavior of
His Excellency Governor Adams Oshiomhole and the A CN in general , to the
National Chairman of NCP who was highly instrumental to the arrangements in
persuading Prince Ukonga and SDMP to work with comrade Adams Oshiomhole in the
2012 governorship polls. Otherwise their ware other forward looking proposals
from ANPP and the PDP to the allied parties. So this is a clarion call to
Governor Adams Oshiomhole and the A CN in Edo to go back to the agreed status
quo anti bellum of forming a unity government in Edo state which will translate
to all allied parties being represented in the State’s Executive council and
having at least one Commissioner position.
