Preambles: SDMP is the first Merger of 25 political parties in Nigeria
and Sub Saharan Africa to be registered by INEC and the first to participate in
an election in Nigeria as in the 2011 general election. Indeed SDMP is a merger
of DPA Party, ADC party, National Reformation Party etc and we are perhaps the youngest
and newest political party of only 3 years old as compared with other political
parties that are above 14 years old and had participated in several elections in
Nigeria. As at the time SDMP was consummated and registered by INEC, the 2011 election
was only a few weeks yonder, and we had very little time to prepare for the
general election and despite the fact that we are on the 5th position by INEC
ranking on political parties by strength of fielding candidates for polls and
by the preponderance of stoic men and women of integrity and seriousness, so
our harvest in the polls was portable as in the context of winning many seats
in the National and state Assemblies but with time and proper management ,
planning and fair logistics we are determined to make a difference in the 2015
general elections.
Who we are @ SDMP; The SDMP established by Chief Antony Enahoro the
erudite great sage who bestride the Nigeria political landscape as a colossus
and moved the motion of the independence of the Nigerian federation from the British
colonial rule in 1956. He Noticed that Nigeria needs a formidable opposition
party to compliment the ruling Party in a Siamese twins hip of supportive collegiate
set theory and to provide an virile alternative to the peoples of Nigeria and
Africa in the delivery of the dividends of democracy and it was a noble ideal
welcomed by the entire peoples of Nigeria as the coming of a new dawn in the
annals of political and historical development of Nigeria and Sub Saharan
Africa.
Currently His Excellency Chief
Olu Falae, a former presidential candidate as well as a former Minister of
Finance and a former Secretary to the Government of the Nigeria Federation is
the National Chairman of our great party. Dr Sadiq Abubakar , an erudite
intelligentsia from Gombe is the National Secretary of the Party…The party has
members across the entire states of the Nigeria federation and are constantly
fielding candidates in all polls be it local government polls or general
elections. Among great members of the party includes Dr J.K Randle our
governorship candidate for Lagos state in the 2011 general polls, Dr. Isaq our
Kaduna state gubernatorial candidate, Prince Frank Ukonga the Edo state
governorship candidate, Engr Adesina the National vice Chairman of the party,
Alhaji Funtua the Vice Presidential candidate, Prof. Patrick Utomi our
presidential candidate in the 2011 general polls, Hon Mabinuori our Ogun state
gubernatorial candidate, Chief Agboworin , our Osun state leader of SDMP, Chief
Popoola Tijani the Oyo state gubernatorial candidate and leader of our great
party, Dr Augustine Eze our Ebonyi state gubernatorial candidate, Chief Andrew
Oke the Delta state leader of our great party, Chief Sunday Odunayo the Ekiti
state leader of SDMP, Engr Orlu Joshua the SDMP River state gubernatorial candidate,
Engr. Lamidi Topa the Korgi state gubernatorial candidate of SDMP to mention
but a few, and we had and have candidates for governorship, senatorial, House
of Representatives, state house of Assemblies , Local government in all the
states of Nigeria etc. We presented 1,873 candidates across Nigeria for the
2011 general elections as the fifth in strength. We are indeed a formidable
political party of serious minded intelligentsias that is committed to deliver
the dividend of democracy to the teaming peoples of Nigeria and sub Saharan
Africa.
Note : The merger of APC and the Nigerian Federation:
The necessity and sufficiency premises
of the creation of SDMP is different from those of the new merging political
parties of APC which is the merger of A CN ,ANPP, CPC and co whose main reason
de entre are selfish self centered reason of wrestling powers from the ruling
party of the PDP as the major reason of its coming to being which is
reactionary and a gang up and perhaps not addressed to the superior quality
premises of service delivery to Nigerians and Africans as in the case of SDMP.
So the new mergers of APC is different from that of SDMP
SDMP NEW POLICY THRUST: Our new policy thrust is to win many
seats in the 2015 general elections in Nigeria and to present credible serious
contenders for all election positions in all states of the Nigerian federation
including the Federal Capital territory, senatorial , Representative MPS as
well as present candidates for the presidential polls addressed to win the
presidential election and govern Nigeria with a focused manifesto to deliver
the dividends of democracy to the peoples of Nigeria , Africa and the world in generality…
The SDMP Strategy: Merging with
some political Parties to form the Third Alternative Big Mega Party: We are committed to accelerated
membership drive as well as cooperating with other like minds in service
delivery to Nigerians and to aid the social, cultural, economic and industrial
entropy to the attainment of great heights and rational eudemonia. On a second
stage we are in deep negotiations with parties of like minds to further merge into
a more formidable strength and we are optimistic that within the next few weeks
we shall soon announce our new status after the merger is consummated with a
new name, new logo and new invigorated policy thrust, But we are not merging
into APC or PDP. We are merging to form the third alternative big political Mega
party for the Nigerian federation and Africa, as a formidable mainstream
opposition party not borne out of reactionary premises of power hungry and
mongering as in the case of some recent mergers, but as a true, genuine third
alternative choice addressed to usher into being greatness, progress and
prosperity to the Nigerian federation and Sub Saharan Africa presently…\

THE SDMP MANIFESTO: Our Prerogatives for all Nigerians and Sub
Saharan Africans: SDMP is a political party with a social democratic ideology
in the pursuit of necessity and sufficiency aspects of service delivery to the
majority of Nigerians and the global village based on the following resolves
Jobs for all, health for all, education for all, housing for all,
electricity for all 24/7, industrial and agricultural revolution, development
of all institutions of Nigeria that are frail and gregarious which includes the
traditional rulers institutions, the Police, the civil service, Civil defense,
Legal and Judiciary, Prisons, immigrations and customs, the political institutions, the
transportation and Aviation , the infrastructural department, youth and women
development, sports, accelerated economic development, novel methods of human
resources development, foreign and diplomatic departments all addressed to
achieving the great ideals of the Vision 2020 of taking Nigeria to become one
of the 20 economic giants by the year 2020.
Conclusion: All these great ideals for the general good of the peoples
of Nigeria and sub Saharan Africa cannot be achieved alone. We need your
cooperation at SDMP to be able to do more. So come 2015 don’t waste your vote.
Vote into power a party that is genuine, serious minded and compassionately committed
to the delivery of the dividends of democracy which has eluded the majority of
the peoples of our great Nation. The time is come for you to use your vote as a
power to bring into government credible, honest and God fearing peoples who
would not loot the treasury of the Nation but people committed to deliver on
promises. SDMP is that Party. We promise not to let you down when voted into
power. We promise transparency, accountability, security of life and
properties, vibrant international policy thrust based on diplomatic
reciprocities and detente, and above all we promise to carry all along in an
inclusive Unity Government when voted into power.
The choice is yours and we earnest hope and believe that you will maker
this right choice in 2015 by voting SDMP into power and poverty, redundancy,
power failure, backwardness, illiteracy etc will vanish from our dictionary as
a people of great nation with great destiny…
