In 2009/2010 when President Umar YarAdua was in the Hospital , there was a clampdown on the press by the Yar Adua Govt in that period. Prince Frank Onaivi Ukonga was the first Publisher/ Editor to be picked up. Six officers of the SSS who were heavily armed stormed the office of National Peoples News and whisked away our Publisher Prince Frank Onaivi Ukonga on handcuff to their office. The allegation was on some of the publications of National Peoples News that was alleged could incite Nigerians to riot and lead the country into anarchy. So they prepared the case of sedition with felony against our publisher but later we came to a truss that for now President Yar Adua was sick in the Hospital in Saudi and that the Government will not tolerate any seditious publications nor remarks from our Newspaper that could incite the people on the said issue. I agreed with them and they let me go after being their guest for 12 hours. I was released on self recognizance category with a view to cooperate with them henceforth. Some other Editors were also arrested like the Editor of Peoples Daily, Desert Herald, the Nation and other Media.

The following week the issue of Dr Goodluck Jonathan becoming the Acting President of Nigeria hooted up and already we have been warned at National Peoples News to shut up otherwise could end up in jail so our Publisher had to sneak to Abuja to mobilise support for President Goodluck Jonathan who we all knew  was been unjustly denied his due right in the schemes of things.

AIT and NTA INTERVIEWS; On February 4 after the Judgement of Justice Abutu that did not upturn the verdict fully in favour of Dr Goodluck Jonathan to become the Acting President but only said could be acting was a very dangerous verdict of sitting on the fences by the erudite judge which could lead Nigeria to anarchy, ruin and collapse. So our Publisher had to go straight to the AIT/ NTA to give a convincing argument based on empirical research on the issue and quoting many legal instances and above all the consequences of not transferring power to Dr Jonathan.

It was a powerful material for the press so AIT television began to relay the news as a big boost to convince the Senate and sway the discourse in opinion poll in favor of Dr Goodluck Jonathan virtually every hour from the 5 th of February to the 13 th of February when the Senate finally became convinced to transfer power of Acting President to Dr Goodluck Jonathan.... It has happened before... in any pressure or Revolution their must be a strong mouth piece that the media want to relay and that message must be strong, convincing, matured and from an esoteric intelligentsia in favor of the revolution otherwise it will fail and it must be relayed at regular interval of hourly to conform with the propaganda theories of Machiavelli , Karl Max, Franz Fanon, Vladimir Ilich Lenin,Che Govera, Ramdan Albain, Patrice Lumumba etc..... Just like when Major General Joseph Garba was the person that spoke in the Murtala Mohammed Revolution,General Sani Abacha has also spoken for another take over, Dr Christopher Kolade had also spoken for another albeit at gun point while many others have been privileged to speak... but don't forget any person who become the spokesman of any demonstration or palace take over is as culpable as all the participants in the take over and i understood the import of the risk i was taken if things did not work out but thanks be to God the entire revolution that brought President Goodluck Jonathan to Acting Presidency was successful and today he is the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria.

We belief in his subtlety , maturity, truth and honesty to honesty approach in his stratagems to reposition Nigeria as one of the leading economic and industrial giants of the world and we are calling on all Nigerians to continue to support President Goodluck Jonathan

FUEL SUBSIDY THE IMPERATIVES OF THE REMOVAL OF FUEL SUBSIDY: In the fuel subsidy removal by President Goodluck Jonathan we at National Peoples News have been a stronghold in support of the President to remove the subsidy and use the money to transform Nigeria into a great country that has electricity 24/7 . that is a petro- chemical industrial giant, that can generate its own liquid steal as in the completion of Ajaokuta Iron and steel complex and to focus on the VISION 20;2020 Agenda to take Nigeria to the promised land. We sold the removal of the fuel subsidy to every body far and near in our website and publications and we are not cowards at National Peoples News... we still stand by our word that the president can be trusted to manage the money from the subsidy removal prudently to take Nigeria to the promised land through the road map of VISION 20:2020

President Barack Obama has a few days ago backed the VISION 20:2020 AGENDA which means he is telling Nigeria to invest the fuel subsidy wealth in the actualization of the VISION 20:2020 of taking Nigeria to the promised land of love, peace, industrial and economic advancement. 

Vision 2020 was invented by Prince Frank Onaivi Ukonga in 1990 as vision 2000  as a road map to help young ambitious Nation state to frog jump in their social, economic and industrial advancement . Nigeria adapted the concept and the Russia Federation and its 100 states are on the program with more than 13 Nations of the former Soviet Union H. E President Barack Obama the executive President of the United States of America and the National Peoples News Award Winner of 2011 Edition of Best President of the World has a few day ago lauded the VISION 20: 2020  as a great vision that Nigeria should continue4d with vigor and vitality. H.E. Barack Obama is rightly guided..It  was institutionalized tacitly then by the powers there be while ex president Shonekan upgraded it to Vision 2010, General Sani Abacha retained it as Vision 2010, General Abdulsalami retained it as Vision 2010 , President Olusegun Obasanjo updated the concept to Vision 20: 2020. President Yar Adua retained it as Vision 20 : 2020 with a high point road map of targeting a GNP of Nigeria of 900 billion dollars as at 2020, power generation of 25000 mega wats. a gas giant of tran Saharan gas pipeline to connect Nigeria to Europe and become a global player in the international gas world..., jobs for all Nigerians, health for all, education and a well developed academic and technical manpower cadre...And we are backing President Jonathan on the premises that these noble ideals of his late predecessor which president Jonathan identifies with, should be the road map on how to invest the fuel subsidy money and the management team of Christopher Kolade of the subsidy reinvestment board should be changed to VISION :20:2020BOARD

CONCLUSION: We call on all stake holders in the Nigerian project to and support the program of President Goodluck Jonathan...We believe strongly that he is genuine , trust worthy and rightly guided in the context of ideal patriotism. We all have to make sacrifice today for a better tomorow.
