Prince Frank Ukonga  SDMP gubernatorial candidate in the 2012 polls with the CPC candidate Mr Roland Izebuwe, the NCP  candidate Mr Paul  Orunmwese, under the auspices of the coalition of progressive parties led by the Chairman of the National conscience party Dr Tanko as well as the stalwarts od SDMP and the representative of the Chairman of SDMP Cheif Olu Falae  Engnr. Adesina paid a courtesy call to the winner of the Edo 2012 elections of July 14 2012 in theEo State House  on Wednesday 18th of July to congratulate the Governor elect in the spirit of sportsmanship.
Dr Tanko, Chairman of NCP congratulated the comrade governor after a warm reception of dinner, drinks and good food , offered by the host. 
All the candidates and the stalwarts of the three political parties moved to the sitting room in the government house for another round of refreshment and there in a validation speech, Prince Frank Ukonga acknowledged the great dexterity of the governor in moving Edo state forward. All the other candidates were unanimous in the acceptance of the results of the polls as one of the most free and fair elections  ever conducted in Nigeria and Africa and all lauded the achievement of INEC as well as the security operatives that kept peace, order and a good decorum during and after the elections.
Dr Tanko was quick to compare the success of the elections to that of June 12 , 1993 in its planning and logistics.
In his own address the comrade governor made jokes on Prince Frank Ukonga calling him  the Edo Governor that never was.. he also cracked jokes with Paul Orunwese as well as Izebuwa the CPC candidate and thanked all the other contestants in the polls for the visit of solidarity and promised to carry all along in this new dispensation.
He also promised to take Edo state to greater heights and promised as well as praised the EDO PEOPLE for insisting on one man one vote.
