The INEC REC of Edo state of the Nigerian federation Hon Mike Iginni held a spectacular meeting with all stakeholders in the 2015 general elections in Nigeria to acquaint them with the new innovations and preparedness of INEC to conduct free, fair and credible polls in Nigeria.
The stakeholders meeting was well attended led by His Excellency Prince Frank Onaivi Ukonga the chairman  of IPAC-Inter party Advisory council of Nigeria- Edo state chapter and all members of his Exco, as well as attended by chairmen  and secretaries ,of all the political parties in Edo state, the civil societies, NGO, and a cross section of the Media.
Hon Mike Iginni apologized to all stakeholders over the 6 weeks postponement of the general polls and officially announced the new dates to be the 28th of March 2015, for the presidential and National assembly polls and the 11th of April 2015 for the governorship and state assembly polls..He was also quick to note the unpreparedness of many political parties in the state in meeting the deadlines for the submission of agent list to their respective LGA - INEC Officers and advised that those parties involve should make use of the opportunity to do so. He indicated that of the 1.7million registered voters in Edo state so far about 1.08 million voters cards has been distributed leaving about 449,451 PVC to be distributed in the few weeks of extension. Hon Mike Iginni went ahead to demonstrate the use and effectiveness of the Card Reader which he described as the new electoral sheriff of the Nigerian federation , that is so effective to eliminate all forms of electoral malpractices caused by the inducement of the human factor in the electoral process.
On the behalf of all the political parties in Edo state and all stakeholders and citizens of Edo state of the Nigerian federation His Excellency Prince Frank Ukonga the chairman of IPAC thanked Hon Mike Iginni the new INEC REC of Edo state welcoming him to the state and commending INEC  for the card Reader innovation admonishing all stakeholders and political parties in Edo state to cooperate with INEC addressed to repeat the leading position of Edo state in the context of having the best credible free and fair polls in Nigeria records as in the 2012 gubernatorial polls. Prince Ukonga also commends the timely postponement of the polls by INEC and enjoins all political parties to make the best use of this new opportunity
