Editorial: 2015 polls: The Imperatives of violent free credible elections:
We of the National peoples News on the behalf of our chairman and publisher, His Excellency Prince Frank Ukonga and the Editorial Board of National Peoples News appeal to all the citizens of Edo state of Nigeria and all fellow compatriots of the Nigerian federation to join hands together in order to have a peaceful , free , fair and credible elections in Edo state and the Nigerian federation.
The imperatives of credible polls can not be undermined as it the anchorage of peaceful coexistence of colligating tribes of Nigeria of more than 250 ethnic variations of dark pigmented Negroid stock of the Bantu classifications of Racial typology...; Otherwise, this directly impacts either positively or negatively on the security of lives and properties, economic and industrial prosperities and in fact impacts on all aspects of living...
Among the causes of violence in elections is the attempt to rig polls at all cost by some candidates and perhaps political parties which leads to violence among the tugs of the parties... And many times snowball into national and international embarrassments..
We should all realize that we do not have another country to call our own but Nigeria, so guiding the unity , protecting its freedom and sovereignty should be the priority of all Nigerians in Nigeria and diaspora...
There is the need to caution other nations with stake holding in the Nigerian project in particular the colonial masters and imperialist to give Nigeria a chance to develop formidable democratic structures rather ; most of the time doing things that could be described as inimical to endanger the entropy of the Nigeria’s sovereignty towards true independence.. These they are culpable by acts of commissions and omissions ...and this is to remind them that a truly democratic and prosperous Nigeria would benefit not only Nigerians but the entire human race as Nigeria has the largest economy in Africa and has the largest population as well.
These advantages if well harnessed by the Human Race has potential of benefiting the global pluralism in the context of culture, economics, trade, manufacturing ,feeding the world with essential minerals and raw material for prosperity and what have you...
Whence the imperatives of having credible, peace full free and fair polls in Nigeria cannot be undermined and it is a task that must be done and sustained.
We appeal to all the citizens of Nigeria and stakeholders in our near and far abroad to cooperate with Nigerian federation in the establishment of formidable, sustainable democratic institution via credible , peaceful, free and fair polls...
