The leaders of the Esan Student Leauge worldwide visited H.E. Prince Frank Ukonga governorship canpaign office in Benin City officially to endorse him ;after having the Esan studenty/ Youth congress discussing who among the governorship aspirants to endorse who would deliver the dividends of Democracy, they finally narrowed their search of many years for a credible candidate to the person of His Excellency Prince Frank Ukonga. And today the 26 th of April the President and Secretary of the Student / YOUTH League delivered the official letter of endorsement of  Prince frank Ukonga at SDP Headquaters in Benin with the following terms of refences: To campaign from house to house, door to door , person to person all over Edo state to deliver the governorship of Edo state to Prince frank ukonga come rain come sun in Sapt 10, 2016.
Secondly to organize events, sports and football/soccer matches to mobilize the youth to deliver His Excellency Prince frank Ukonga as governor of Edo state in the 2016 governorship polls.
Thirdly to mobilize peoples as agents of the party to vote enmass on the D day.
Lastly, Day to day visit to all youth leaders of the 18 LGA of Edo state with an agenda of aggressive marketing of the Prince frank ukonga candidatureship.
In reply, H.E. Prince frank Ukonga thank the students and youth of Esan land and admonished them that governorship winning is not a one man show. And told them that they are 1.2 million members making an example to them that if 1.2 million youth contribute only N100 naira eac to a campaign purse it would amount to 120 million Naira. And admonished them that the days where aspirants give out money is over but that as done in the United states and all civilized countries of the world the youth are to mobilize campaign funds for the Prince and it was agreed upon.

The feud between various factions of SDP Party in Edo state hass had a boost from the National Chairman of SDP H.E. Chief Olu Falae who sent into Edo state a top level SDP delegation from Abuja of SDP Stalwarts to help resolve the Edo fued among members and position the SDP Edo state to capture the governorship seat of power and deliver the dividend of democracy th the masses of Edo lites and Nigerians. Heading the delegation form Abuja is Chief Duyile Korade the Ondo state chairman of SDP, Alhaji Abdul Isiaq the Deputy National chairman of SDP and Chaif Engnr Wole Adesina the National Administrative Director of SDP.
They held separate meetings with various group of the party, made their investigations on all the quarells and lastly they called for an all state Executive meeting among stakeholders held in Benin on Friday 22 April.

A governorship aspirant under the platform of the Social Democratic Party, Prince Frank Okonga has said the Edo state governorship election scheduled to hold September 10 this year will no longer be a race involving two political parties and candidates.
ukonga while briefing journalists in Benin City yesterday said with the SDP having a member in the governorship race, the electorate are exposed to a plethora of parties to choose their governorship candidate rather than the usual two predominant parties, All Progressives Congress and the People’s Democratic Party.
Mr Okonga noted that he has decided to make himself available again to serve the people of the state having learnt the rudiments and intrigues of politics in 2012 when he first made himself available. He added that Edo state is endowed with natural resources and therefore it cannot be said to be broke but what the state is suffering from, is poor leadership which has invariably led to corruption.
He said, “The electorate are tired of the two political parties in the state and on that, they are seeking an alternative party which is the SDP. We are looking for a situation whereby we can adopt a sole candidate and therefore I have made myself available”, he said.
