H.E. President Mohammadu Buhari the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria the APC Presidential Candidate in the 2019 polls, H.E. Prince Frank Ukonga  the DA- Democratic Alternative Party Presidential candidate [Note that the DA is the 3rd in strength and ranking of political parties in Nigeria in the sponsorship of more than 1200 candidates for the 2019 elections, only second to the APC & PDP]and other Presidential Candidates in the 2019 election signed a Peace Accord on the 11th of December at the Prestigious International Conference Center Abuja addressed to have a free, fair and peaceful election come 2019 .
The celebrated event was graced by the top shots , shakers and movers of the Nigerian society. The National Peace Committee chaired by the Ex Head of State H.E. Gen Abdulsalami Abubakar brokered the Peace agreement and members of his team present were the business mogul Alhaji Aliko Dangote, former Chief of Staff  Commodore Ebute Ukiwe, Rev Father Kukah, and many other religious Leaders.
 Notable traditional Rulers graced the epoch making event among are HRM Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Obajaja 11, the Sultan of Sokwoto HRM Sultan Abubakar. Other important dignitaries include former Head of state Gen Yakubu Gowon, the  National Security Adviser, the Secretary to the government Boss Mustapha and others
The diplomatic community graced the occasion among whom include the EU Representative to Nigeria and the ECOWAS, and  many ambassadors.
The National Chairmen of Political parties in Nigeria led by High Chief Peter Ameh the IPAC Chairman were present including the APC National Chairman H.E. Adams Oshiomhole.
The Agreement was emphatic on four points that relates to issues of non violence, issue based campaigns, abhorrence of hate speech and preserving peace and dignity of the sovereignty, Campaigns must be clean of ethnic sentiments and  impetuous religious bigotry.
Speaking to Newsmen at the occasion H.E. Prince Frank Ukonga the Presidential candidate of DA lauded the Peace Agreement and commended the National Peace Committee members chaired by H.E. Abdulsalami Abubakar .Saying " The Peace Agreement of 2018 among Political Parties will enhance the entrenchment of sustainable democratic dispensation in Nigeria and would impact positively on the growth of democracy in Nigeria, Africa and emerging democracies of the world."
