The stakeholder meeting of all political party chairmen and their contesting candidates was held in Benin Cty on the 8 th of September 2016 to plans stratagems for a free, fair and conclusive Edo governorship polls slated for the 10th of September 2016 .
And after series of meetings between the top security brass of the Nigerian federation led by the Inspector General of the Nigerian Police - IGP and other top security Brass of the Nigerian federation with the Chairman of INEC Professor Mahmud Yakubu and other stakeholders ,it was decided that due to security report that the election be postponed for another two weeks to be held on the 28th of September 2016.
The IPAC Chairman Edo state H.E. Prince Frank Ukonga on the behalf of all the chairmen of Political Parties of Nigeria and on the behalf of all the citizens of Edo state thanked the Chairman of INEC Prof Mahmud Yakubu , all the top security brass of the Nigerian Federation and all stakeholders in the Nigerian project.
