Breaking News: Etsako House of Rep Election: Ukonga ,Ojezua, Kpagil, Edo CP Haliru Gwandu storms INEC  stakeholders meeting
The stakeholders meeting on the Etsako House of Rep Federal Constituency polls coming up on the 28th of January 2017 was held in Benin on the 24th January  and was well attended by the top security brass of Edo state- Led by the commissioner of Police Mr Haliru Gwandu, Director of the SSS, Commandant of the Army, Navy, Civil Defence, FRSC, While the top brass of INEC of do state wre present in the occasion led by the INEC REC Edo state Hon Baritor Phagil, Hon Oviasu Oghogho, Hon Prescilia Sule etc.
The political parties were well represented by the leaders of the various political parties led y the pioneer IPAC Chairman Prince frank Ukonga who is the Edo state chairman NNPP, Hon Anselm Ojizua state chairman APC,Admin Sec of PDP Hon Oloruntobi,etc
The Edo CP said he was ready for the polls and would be deploying over 3000 police officers and many motorized vehicles to make sure that the election is successful and warmed  that Vigilante would not be allowed to be deployed by any party. Likewise he warned cultists , thugs and hoodlums to stay away as they would be promptly arrested if they disrupt the peaceful conduct of the polls.
 Mr Baritor Kpagih who is the Supervising Resident Electoral Commissioner for the Etsako Federal Constituency by-election in the state appealed to all stakeholders for cooperation 
This was during a meeting with security agencies, civil society and politicians at the National Orientation Agency’s hall in Benin City, the Edo State capital.
He urged all stakeholders to cooperate towards ensuring a violence-free exercise before, during and after the January 28 election in the state.
The electoral official stated that the stakeholders must play their part effectively for INEC to conduct a free and fair election.
Prince frank ukonga remarked on the PU delineation of the polling units during the interactive session and observed that the Etsako constituency need more polling units as the 310 PU cannot successfully cover the vast lands  and peoples of Etsako
