The CUPP -Coalition of United Political Parties of Nigeria which is the Apex Opposition coalition of Nigeria has demanded in strong terms the immediate release of the Spokesperson Bar Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere in a world Media Briefing today in Abuja.
Bar Kenneth Udeze the Head Contact and Mobilization Committee of the CUPP made this known to the media confirming that the CUPP spokesperson was arrested and illegally being detained by the Police over the ongoing impasse of the infectious Disease Bill being promoted by Hon Femi Gbajabiamila the Speaker of the National Assembly.
He Said " It is a shame that in Femi Gbaabiamila's Democracy the Order of Court Should not be obeyed and nobody should question his supreme authority'
He opined that despite a court order restraining the Inspector General of Police and the DSS, from arresting or detaining the CUPP Spokesperson he was arrested and detained in a Gestapo style disobeying Court orders.
Furthermore Barr. Keneth Udeze said that this emerging tyranny of Hon Femi Gbajabiamila must stop and called on the APC party to call him to order.
Lastly, the CUPP demanded in strong terms the immediate and unconditional release of the CUPP Spokesperson Barr. Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere
