I acknowledge the chairman of the occasion commodore Ebite Ukiwe  former vice President of Nigeria. H.E. Comrade Adams Oshiomole executive Governor of Edo State.Hon Atahiru Jega INEC Chiarman.Respected Ministers. Other Gubernatorial contestants.The office of the presidency of the Nigerian federation on inter party affairs , the special adviser to the president on inter party affair senator Ben Obi. the commissioner of Police Edo State. the DIG Zone 5 of the police Mr ARGUNGU, workshop participants and all protocols observed.
I commend the president of Nigeria his excellency Goodluck Jonathan whose office of inter party affairs has sponsored this political workshop of stakeholders in the Nigerian Project to further entrench democratic culture in the Nigerian federation and Africa in generality.

HOW TO SOLVE THE DO OR DIE POLITICAL CULTURE IN NIGERIA
My honest observation is that our democratic exercise may collapse if the government does not support political parties and candidates financially.
The winners of elections have huge access to states and federal funds while the losers have access to nothing and by the theories of Laplace Transformation in mathematical integral as well as by the Malthusian theory of doom the losing political parties will eventually die and gradually Nigeria will become a one party state at a short distance of time...and that is the reason de entre of the do or die political culture n Nigeria.
Supporting candidates and political parties financially will reduce the vulnerability of political parties as well as reduce violence,anarchy and politics of intolerance...otherwise it will be the causality for a sovereign National conference that will renegotiate our relevance to each other addressed to restructure the Nigerian project.

The SDMP Social Democratic Mega Party candidate in the Edo 2012 polls Prince Frank Onaivi Ukonga flags off the road campaign  tour of the 18 local government Areas of Edo state in Igarra recentrly.

The flag off was conducted by the Chairman of Edo SDMP Chief Adeniyi Sani and the mother of Prince Frank Ukonga Madame Omope Docas Onaivi Ukonga who handed the flag of the party to him charging him to go into the governorship contest of Edo state to win and become the governor of Edo State.

In his acceptance speache the chairman of the party in Edo state chief Adeniyi Sani observed that Prince frank ukonga is the David of Edo state governorship battle and prayed that God who did it for David to defeat Golaith will make it possible for Prince Frank Ukonga to defeat the giants in the race addrssed to emmege the winner in the july 14, 2012 gubanetorial polls of edo state.

Prince Frank ukonga in his acceptance speache promised free and qualitative education to all the citizen of Edo state at all levels. while praising the incubent governor comrade Adams Oshiomole for his tremendous achievement noted that the government of SDMP will operate a paradigm shift in progressive philosophy to the prerogatives of job creation and promised to create 500,000 jobs within the first 100 days in office of SDMP through an industrial revolution of creating 100 cottage industries in 100 days. He also promised to partner with President Goodluck Jonathan in generating electricity through a nuclear power plant to be built in Edo state and promised 10,000MW of electricity within 2 years.

INEC called a stakeholders meeting on the 18th of May 2012 to warn all the contestants in the Edo 2012 elections on the need to play by the rules. In attendance are all the governorship candidates of the seven political parties contesting the election of July 2012. Among are H.E Adams Oshiomole of ACN, H.E.Charles Airhiabvere OF PDP, H.E. Prince Frank Ukonga of SDMP NOW SDP, H .E Solomon Edebiri of ANPP, and candidates of CPC, NCP were all present life in a widely televised and published no hold barred meeting to resolve the violence and accusations and counter accusations about the forth coming Edo 2012 polls.

Prof. Atahiru Jega was emphatic and putting his foot down calling for a final truss and that he will no more tolerate any nonsense from Edo contestants or may council the elections. The ccv capture of upgrading the voters register was postponed till after the election by a unanimous agreement by all the contestants. The chairmen and Secretaries of political parties and stakeholders were also present in the meeting but the press was not allowed into the meeting venue in Abuja, INEC head quarters.In his contribution Gov Oshiomole insisted on the one man one vote philosophy which was supported by Chief Tony Mommoh - chairman of CPC, and supported by Alhaji Funtua the Assistant National Chairman of SDMP representing chief Olu Falae, and also Barrister Femi FALANA SUPPORTED THIS GREAT IDEA.The SDMP candidate in the election Prince Frank Ukonga spoke on the issue of posters vandalization, huge cost and monitization of elections in Nigeria and the entire hall supported his views which Prof. Jega promised to look into how to evolve a new modus operandi where excessive use of cash to induce voters are reduced to tolerable level.. election should be a cross breading and cross pollination of ideas, manifestos etc and not in a cash and carry bazaar of voters.
