The feud between various factions of SDP Party in Edo state hass had a boost from the National Chairman of SDP H.E. Chief Olu Falae who sent into Edo state a top level SDP delegation from Abuja of SDP Stalwarts to help resolve the Edo fued among members and position the SDP Edo state to capture the governorship seat of power and deliver the dividend of democracy th the masses of Edo lites and Nigerians. Heading the delegation form Abuja is Chief Duyile Korade the Ondo state chairman of SDP, Alhaji Abdul Isiaq the Deputy National chairman of SDP and Chaif Engnr Wole Adesina the National Administrative Director of SDP.
They held separate meetings with various group of the party, made their investigations on all the quarells and lastly they called for an all state Executive meeting among stakeholders held in Benin on Friday 22 April.
A committee was set up with a mandate to resolve the issues within 2 weeks , so that Edo SDP can quickly get the feud behind them and strategise to flush out the APC and the PDP out of power for ever and ever in Edo state while the power will shift to SDP in 2016 in Jesus Name Amen,

A governorship aspirant under the platform of the Social Democratic Party, Prince Frank Okonga has said the Edo state governorship election scheduled to hold September 10 this year will no longer be a race involving two political parties and candidates.
ukonga while briefing journalists in Benin City yesterday said with the SDP having a member in the governorship race, the electorate are exposed to a plethora of parties to choose their governorship candidate rather than the usual two predominant parties, All Progressives Congress and the People’s Democratic Party.
Mr Okonga noted that he has decided to make himself available again to serve the people of the state having learnt the rudiments and intrigues of politics in 2012 when he first made himself available. He added that Edo state is endowed with natural resources and therefore it cannot be said to be broke but what the state is suffering from, is poor leadership which has invariably led to corruption.
He said, “The electorate are tired of the two political parties in the state and on that, they are seeking an alternative party which is the SDP. We are looking for a situation whereby we can adopt a sole candidate and therefore I have made myself available”, he said.
