Edo SDP Chairman storms Edo state with Posters of GEJ & SDP 2015 partnership
SDP, PDP & APC IN FINAL SHOWDOWN ;The 3 Parties of SDP, PDP, APC are Contesting all positions of 3 senate seats, 9 Reps and 24 EDHA Seats in Edo state- Analysis of their strenght and weaknesses;
Three political parties of APC, SDP and the PDP are out to slog it out in the 2015 general polls of Edo state. The three political parties are contesting all the 36 elective positions of 3 senate seats, 9 Representatives and 24 House of Assembly membership.
Analyzing their strength and weaknesses may pose some challenges in the aspect that Edo state currently is undergoing lots of transformation in the contest of voters aparty as such there is a general believe that the two major political parties of APC and the PDP that had ruled the state since the beginning of the novae democratic experience have not actually delivered the dividends of democracy to the masses of Edo state and are besieged by internal strives which gave reason for some stalwarts of the party and the Edo masses to start looking up to a third alternative of the SDP that brand peoples oriented populist ideology of job creation, industrial and agricultural revolution, cheep electricity, water, free education at all levels, empowerment of youth, women and elders in the communities and what have you...
The SDP has sprang the surprise as Hon Razak Momoh , a member of the Edo state house of assembly suddenly decamped from PDP to join SDP and fortunately clinged the ticket to run on SDP platform as a member of House of Assembly representing Etsako West constituency 2  of Edo North. Hon Abubakar Momoh currently the Representative of Etsako in the federal House of Representative decamped to SDP to cling the senate seat of Edo North for SDP.. While a host of very big names like Anselm Agbabi  former House of Assembly member, Akin Abgaje former  chairman Akoko Edo lga, Obas Ekehinde of the Owan fed constituency etc in short the SDP  is firmly rooted in Edo North and would spring surprises judging from the support of the masses for the new entrant...
while in Edo central the SDP led by a former Gubernatorial candidate of AD Hon Idomonza Isidahomie leading a crop of seasoned politicians are out to spring surprise and in the Edo south same can be said where comrade Erugie Iyobosa is leading another set of determined SDP candidates to scoop all the seats of the Edo south polity...
The PDP under the leadership of chief Dan Orbih and Pastor Ize Iyamu also parade a 36 candidate team of highly experienced politicians that would be difficult to beat in this election and most likely would harvest more than 50% of the seats being contested.
The APC  have virtually retained all the honorables in the House from Kabiru Adjoto, to  Uyi Igbe, Philip Saibu etc but juxapositioning some of them for higher callings.. Their 36 candidate team which are all cronies of comrade Adams Oshiomhole has a new entrant of Bar Alimikena who clinged the senate seat of Edo North and as a greyhound in politics may have it difficult to edge out Pascal Ugboma of PDP and Hon Momoh of the SDP.
While in Edo south Hon Osagie of the APC  for senate will have a though battle to edge out PDP senatorial candidate Oroghide and the SDP candidate Hon Iyobosa.. and in that order of mutantis mutandis goes for the 9 Seats House of representative contest and the 24 Seats of the states house of Assembly respectively
Which would be keenly contested among the three political parties that have good structures all over the state.

IPAC -Inter Party Advisory Council Edo state chapter under the chairmanship of H.E. Prince Frank Ukonga condemn the Arson on ITV station Benin, and the  violence in Edo state including over heating of the polity and the safety of life and properties; call on the police and task force to step into the security challenges of Edo state so that it would not degenerate into mayhem and anarchy.

The IPAC EXCO of Edo state under the chairmanship of His Excellency Prince Frank Ukonga today held an emergency meeting on the space of violence in Edo state and in particular condemn in strong terms the fire that gutted the ITV television station and other politically motivated violence in the state. Also we noticed that bill boards , posters of candidates are being destroyed all over the polity and a cold war seems to be building up between the PDP and the APC.
We call on the federal government , the police and the task force to intervene urgently with a view to stop the imminent class that can snowball into mayhem and anarchy...
Long live Edo state, Long Live Federal Republic of Nigeria.
