Breaking News: IPAC and Nigerian Civil Society Orgs. Summit on Inclusion of Women and PWDS and Review of Political Parties Code of Conduct.
The IPAC-Inter Party Advisory Council and members of the Nigerian Civil Society Situation Room held a summit of the 22ed of July at the prestigious Fraser Suites in the Central Districts of Abuja to discuss on the inclusion of Women and People with disabilities[PWDS] in the political development of the country.
Hon. Clement Nwankwo led the members of the Nigerian Civil Society Situation Room; an Organization of many Civil Societies across the Country into the all important Summit.
The National Chairman of IPAC High Chief Peter Ameh led the over 70 Political Party leaders that graced the occasion into the fruitful dialogue.
Among Party leaders that attended were Alhaji A. Salam -National Chairman of the Labour Party, Alhaji Mohammed Shittu of APDA, Alhaji Yusuf Mamman Dantelle of the APM, H.E. Prince Frank Ukonga of the Democratic Alternative Party, Bar. Georgina Dakpokpo of the YDP, Bar Godson Okoye of the UDP, Comrade Agbo Major of the NNPP, Yusuf Ibrahim of the SNP, Hon Razak Eyiowuawi of the PPN, Comrade Ademola Babatunde of the NCMP, Prof. Peter Nwangwu of the WTPN,  CNP  Nat. Chairman Alhaji Usman Ikeleji  and many others.
The revised Political Parties Code of Conduct was received from the Committee Chairman Dr. Emeka Okengwu, that handled the process of updating the Code of Conduct and all the items were reviewed critically addressed to have inputs from members Civil Societies Situation Room as well as provide adequate inclusion of Women and PWDS in the democratic process to meet the international Standard practice.
A lecture was delivered by Professor Remi Shonaiya of the University of Ife on the topic- "Internal Democracy,Governance and Inclusivity" followed by an interactive session.

Breaking News: IPAC Hold General Assembly Meeting, Inaugurates the 2019 Election Committee.
The 4th IPAC General Assembly meeting was held today 22ed of July 2019 at the prestigious Fraser Suites in the Central District of Abuja.
IPAC National Chairman High Chief Peter Ameh led other National Chairpersons to the remarkable occasion. Among the National Chairpersons that graced the event includes Alhaji A. Salam National Chairman of the Labour Party, H.E. Prince Frank Ukonga- National Chairman of the Democratic Alternative Party and IPAC Director of Strategy, Dr. Emeka Okengwu of the ASD, Professor Godwill Nnaji of the BNPP, Professor Peter Nwangwu of WTPN, Dr Yunusa Tanko of NCP, Alhaji Usman Ikeleji of the CNP, Bar Emeka Igwe of the PDC, Bar. Georgina Dakpokpo of the YDP, Dr Sam Eke of the Green Party, Chief Iwanyanwu of the ZLP, Chief Garshon Benson of the DPP, Rev. Olusegun Peters of the DPC and many others.
The meeting discussed on the state of the Nation and how to strengthen the role of Political Parties in quality service delivery to the Nigerian people and the world in generality.
Subsequently an 11 member IPAC election Committee was constituted and were worn in by the National Chairman of IPAC High Chief Peter Ameh.

The DA -Democratic Alternative party school, Nigerian Peoples’ Institute for Democracy (NIPID) was established in 2003 to carry out formal programs of political education among members and in the general population.
The school had been doing this until the Party was relegated in 2010.but today the NEC of DA has resolved to transform the school into a full fledged University named after Patrice Lumumba- the Zaire[Congo] revolutionary and former Prime Minister. the School would be called "PATRICE LUMUMBA UNIVERSITY"
The Political Party is fully back after a good outing in the 2019 election fielding over 1300 candidates only second to the APC that fielded 1500 candidates and the PDP that fielded 1498 candidates. DA has emerged the third Force in the context of fielding qualified candidates for elections in the Nigerian Federation and the party is strategizing to play a bigger role in quality service delivery to the majority of Nigerians , Africa and the global village.
In this context the NEC -National Executive Council of DA- Democratic Alternative Party resolved today to continue with its role of grooming leaders for the Nation and the global village and whence the Patrice Lumumba University will soon debut.

The NIPSS- Nigerian Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies had a fruitful meeting with IPAC- Inter Party Advisory Council- The Apex political association of National Chairmen of Political Parties of Nigeria to formulate a template on how best to build the capacities of political parties  addressed to impart positively on quality service delivery of dividends of democracy to the majority of Nigerians.
The meeting was held at the prestigious Nicon Luxury Hotel Abuja on Thursday the 11th of July 2019.
Professor Habu Galadima the newly nominated and screened substantive Director General of NIPSS led other top brass of the Nigerian prestigious Institute to the discussion. While the IPAC team was led by the National Chairman of IPAC- High Chief Peter Ameh. Among the IPAC team includes the National Secretary of IPAC- Bar. Geogina Dakpokpo, the IPAC Director of Strategy H.E. Prince Frank Ukonga, Bar. Emeka Igwe, Dr. Sam Eke-DG IPAC, Engnr Okey Chikwendu, Rev Olusegun Peters,Professor Godwill NNaji,Bar. Kenneth Udeze, Alhaji Salam and others.
A functional template was formulated for capacity building and training of party leaders that ingeniously for the first time would extend training of party leaders to the States and LGA Levels.
The training would cover top burning issues of conduct of Primaries and Registration of Candidates for Elections,Electoral Dispute Resolution,Party Financing,Inclusion of women and the vulnerable in the Political Process,Election Administration and much more.
All the participants at the all important summit agreed  that the training and capacity building  of political party leaders is timely and would impact positively on the polity in building vibrant democracy and good governance through the conduct of free and credible elections.
