INEC on the 4th of October 2019 held its quarterly stakeholders meeting with all the shakers and movers of political parties in Nigeria in particular with the National Chairmen and Secretaries of all the 46 registered political parties in Nigeria.

The National chairman of PDP H.E. Makarfi with the National Secretary of the PDP Hon Ben Obi were at the well attended meeting, other chairmen that attended were Hon Chekwas Okories National Chairman of UPP, Rev Olusegun Peters National Chairman of DPC, Dr Yinusa Tanko - National Chairman of NCP, Nat chairman of Accord Party Hon Nalado, National chairman of ID, National Chairman of PPA Hon Peter Ahme and many others.
The INEC Chairman Prof Yakubu Mahmud warned all stakeholders to stop campaigning for the 2019 presidential polls as it is a breach of INEC code of Conduct and constitution to do so/. He warned all political parties involved in the early presidential campaign to stop doing so or INEC would weld the big stick.\
