Just a few days after the death of General Mike Akhigbe, an
illustrious son of Edo state of Nigeria , again death struck by the death of Professor
Festus Iyayi a former President of ASSU
in a ghastly motor accident yesterday… Professor
Festus Iyayi was a professor of economics who studied in the former Soviet
Union and the Author of the celebrated book the “Heroes” ;a founding member of
ANA- Association of Nigerian Authors and a great activist. He would be remembered by the Human Race as a person who
fought for the noble ideals of trying to establish a just, egalitarian world
for all and sundry…. Edo state, Nigeria and Africa has lost another great illustrious
son….…May his gentle soul rest in the boson of the Lord. Amen
