NIGERIA @ 52, THE INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY MESSAGE FROM PRINCE FRANK UKONGA- SDMP/ NRP -PRESIDENTIAL ASPIRANT OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA -2015
THERE IS HOPE FOR NIGERIA TO LEAD THE WORLD AS A SUPER POWER
On behalf of the Chairman of SDMP  His Excellency  plenipotentiary extra ordinary Chief Olu Falae , on behalf of all members of SDMP/NRP, on the behalf of myself and my supporters in Nigeria and abroad I congratulate the peoples of the Nigerian Federation with the occasion of the 52ed independence anniversary celebration on October 1 st, 2012.
We commend all the stakeholders in the Nigerian project so far so good that we all have satisfied the first category of assessment for the past years which is remaining as one united country despite all odds. We commend all our heroes past who have paid the supreme price to keep Nigeria one. We also commend the efforts of all Nigerians that have kept the flag flying as one Nation bonded together with one destiny. Consequently we posit the following observations as germane to the continuous unity and progress of the Nigerian multi Nationalism if we are to become relevant in the 21 century fraught with extreme competition in the face of a declining mankind.
1. We need to tackle the issue of restive youth and its resulting embarrassments, in the methods in which they have chosen to express themselves through violence and destruction of lives and properties on an embarrassing magnitude. This is to translate to more investment in youth empowerment, education, job creation and creating an enabling environment for enterprise to thrive.

2. Imperative to the aforementioned is the issue of dilapidating infrastructural facilities and epileptic electricity generation and distribution which should be given a boost in order to sustain the Nigerian project and in this context roads, hospitals, schools, airports, housing, thermal , hydro electric plants, nuclear plants etal has to be given a push through a national marshal plan of reconstruction of infrastructural facilities of the Nation which will create jobs and invigorate the public and private sectors of the economy.
3. We need to be more focused on the targets of vision 20:2020 which is to place Nigeria as one of the 20 economic and industrial giant of the world by the year 2020. It is a great vision and to achieve this from our current position of 38th, we need to leap into the future through an industrial and agricultural revolution. This should translate to being able to generate liquid steel as in Ajaokuta Iron and steel complex which should be completed immediately and made functional, this will also create more than one million jobs and above 5 million jobs in its downstream sectors addressed to frog jump the Nigerian polity into a manufacturing category, to compliment this we need to generate at least 30,000MW of electricity by 2020 and be able to feed ourselves through an agricultural revolution.
4. We need to check the issue of corruption and rededicate ourselves to patriotic nation building ethics.
HAPPY 52ED INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
LONG LIVE SDMP/NRP, LONG LIVE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA
