Breaking News: NIPSS Retreat: H.E. Prince Frank Ukonga- DA Nat Chairman task FG to fund Political Parties

H.E. Prince Frank Ukonga speaking to Newsmen at the recent NIPSS- [National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies- Nigeria’s Highest Institute for training Top govt functionaries-NIPSS] retreat for National Chairmen of Political Parties canvassed the Federal Government to support political parties through statutory allocation, grants and training addressed to build strong democratic institutions in Nigeria and Sub Saharan Africa.

The Prince agued that Political Parties are Developmental Centers employing more than 10,000 peoples per party as in 36 states chairmen, 774 lga chairmen and their EXCO of 20 persons per state and per lga would total above 10,000 people that each political party could employ and with a multiplier effect of employing more than 30,000 peoples per party… which Makes political parties engaging more peoples than many State Govts and Local govt in the country. Whence support for political parties to become formidable democratic institutions is imperative if we are serious in building vibrant democratic institutions in Nigeria and Sub Saharan Africa.
