Prince Frank Onaivi Ukonga the newly elected Chairman of SDMP Edo State.: H.E.
Prince Frank Ukonga thanks IRI, President Obama , the United States Government
and American good people.
His Excellency Prince Frank Onaivi Ukonga was hosted today the 26th
of April 2013 by the prestigious International Republican Institute of the
United States on the heels of His Excellency Prince Frank Onaivi Ukonga’s
election as the new Chairman of the Edo SDMP, the mainstream progressive party
in Nigeria and the African continent. A top Executive of IRI Mr. Emeka Diru and
his counterpart Mr. Bature Bem the IRI Program Officer for Nigeria ,hosted His
Excellency in the prestigious five star Hotel of Best Western Homeville Hotel
in Benin City Edo State of Nigeria. The hosting began from the Bar of the
Homerville Hotel and later it ended in the swimming pool bar were Prince Frank
Ukonga was treated to latest wine and food of top quality by the hosts.
The International Republican Institute is a world institution that
assist in the training of Party agents, candidates and capacity building of
political parties as well as election observers on a global basis addressed to
entrench genuine democratic culture, peace and stability in the entire world.
And currently the IRI have trained more than 60 agents and above 70 candidates
of political parties in the forth coming Edo local Government elections of
April 20 , 2013.
In his keynote address His Excellency Prince Frank Ukonga thanked the
President of the United States of America, His Excellency Plenipotentiary Extra
Ordinary President Barack Obama, the American Congress , the IRI Country
Director in Nigeria Mrs. Robina Namusisi and the entire American good people
for their support in the Edo state Governorship polls of 2012 adjudged the best
election in Nigeria and Africa and one of the best election in the world of all
times…”This giant strides in the development of democracy in Sub Saharan Africa
and Nigeria in particular was made manifest by the steadfast support and
tenacity of the American state of USA to entrench genuine democracy in Africa
and we the peoples of Nigeria and sub Saharan Africa will continuously be
grateful to President Obama, the IRI, and the entire America citizens till the
end of time…We appreciate you and we are indeed grateful…we also appreciative His Excellency President Goodluck Jonathan
and Prof. Atahiru Jega in their great
contributions to the success of Edo state governorship polls of 2012.” His
Excellency Prince Frank Onaivi Ukonga remarked.
