Jonathan, Frank Ukonga, Chief Olu falae mourn Chinua Achebe
The president of the Nigerian Federation His Excellency President
Goodluck Jonathan has describe the late China Achebe as one of the greatest
literary icon of Africa of all times and his works will be a great legacy that
will live after him.
While His Excellency Prince
Frank Onaivi Ukonga the Chairman of Edo SDMP and the governorship candidate of
SDMP in Edo state said that Prof. Chinua
Achebe has left giants footprints in the sands of time. Particularly in his
literary works that has made tremendous impact in marketing a new image of the
African personality on a global scale at the truculent hours of need in the
mundane era of colonialism and imperialism of the previous decadent milieu in
Race Relations.
While His Excellency Chief Olu Falae praised the great writer Chinua
Achebe noting that Achebe contributions to the development of Africa
literature, culture and superlative aesthetic will continue to bear witness as
to the indelible prints left by the writer which will live for ever after him.
His Excellency Chief Olu Falae the National Chairman of SDMP also called on the
entire youth of this country to emulate the creative genre of Chinua Achebe and
to use their time wisely in creative ventures.
