Labour Party Chairman Edo state Comrade Omede Hosts His Excellency, Prince
Frank Ukonga newly elected SDMP Chairman Edo state in the Labour Party House in
Benin.
His Excellency Prince Frank Ukonga was hosted by Comrade Omede the Chairman
of the Labour Party Edo state over the election of Prince Ukonga as the newly
elected Chairman of SDMP in Edo state in the Labour Party Headquarters in Benin
recently.
Comrade Omede was a great host as the place was bobbling with booze and
some fine babes. Comrade Omede congratulated His Excellency Prince Frank Ukonga
and canvassed for a new alliance between the Labour Party and the SDMP as
progressive Parties to jointly work together in the Local Government Polls of
April 2013 as well as the 2015 general elections and the 2016 gubernatorial
polls in the state. Comrade Omede whose Labour Party was part of the alliance
that produced the spectacular victory of the 2012 governorship polls in partnership
with the SDMP,CPC AND NCP, was convinced that we could repeat the feet again in
all other elections in the state but he believed that the Labour Party will no
more play the second fiddle. He believe that the next Governor of Edo state
should come from the Labour party as the A CN have been a beneficiary of the
cooperation, they should also be magnanimous enough to step aside and cooperate
to produce a Governor and other MP from the Labour Party and other allied
parties; which is indeed logical.
His Excellency Prince Frank Ukonga thanked him for the hosting and
promised to look into his proposals by discussing with the SDMP State and
National Exco addressed for future cooperation among the Progressive Parties in
the State.
The NCP Chairman of Edo state Comrade Victor Egba was also invited to
the occasion and in his own contribution canvassed for the future cooperation
of the progressives in Edo state as the governorship polls election in Edo
state adjudged the best in Nigerian History was made manifest by the solid
cooperation among the progressives.
