In his Key note address to the peoples of Taraba State H.E. Prince Frank Ukonga appealed to all the citizens of the great Taraba state to vote enmass for DA- Democratic Alternative in the 2019 election.
He Said " Fellow Compatriots of Taraba state Vote H.E. Prince Frank Ukonga for President, Vote Comrade Bello A.A. Mbella for governor Taraba state, Vote in our 3 Senators and all members of Reps and state Assembly.
' DA promise to bring back the great glories of Taraba state that was the strong hold and capital of the great Kwararafa Empire that ruled the entire sub Saharan Africa for more than a century with capital at Wukari a great town in Taraba state that is now a shadow of its heroic glories. We shall bring back your lost fame, splendor and glories.
1.Right now Taraba state is heavily indebted both local and external debts burden and the IGR is one of the least in Nigeria put at N 5.7 billion Naira as at Q1 18.
Taraba's challenges is that its total expenditure cannot match its total revenue accruing to the state annually so there is always a budget deficit financed through borrowing but then we are determined to harness the resources of the great Taraba state and turn around the fortunes of this great state. We shall make Taraba state a main Electric power generating state for the Nigerian state by harnessing the numerous rivers of Taraba and the Manbilla axis, the Taraba River the Ibi River and the Benue River etc for Hydro electric power. We target to generate over 10,000 MW of electricity annually from Taraba state.
2. We promise to position Taraba state to harness the over $23,7 billion dollar trade of Frozen fish being monopolized by European Countries and Asia.We shall invest in the Frozen fish industry for export addressed to target an export potential earning of over $5 billion dollars annually which would position Taraba state as an economic giant of Nigeria and the African continent.
Taraba state is a key partner state for the Industrial , Agric and Economic Revolution of DA- Democratic Alternative in the DA Marshal plan to make Nigeria an super power.We are aware that Taraba state is in the quest of developing her mining industry and this would be given top priority when DA comes to power. Also the Rice and cassava industry would be given top priority.
3.We promise to harness the favorable location of Taraba state as a gateway state of Nigeria having borders with Cameroon and more than 5 states of Nigeria and create industrial belt through free industrial export zones in its southern aspects.We target to create over 2000 cottage industries in this free Export Zones and to attract FDI to this zones which would create over 2 million Jobs for the 2.5 million citizens of the state. So other peoples from other states and other parts of the world would rush to Taraba state to partake in the novae prosperity DA would create. This would raise the IGR of Taraba state to above N500 Billion Naira Annually
4.We offer Free, qualitative Education at all levels
5.We offer quality healthcare schemes
6. Peace and Security: DA would partner with the relevant stakeholders in that region to bring about long lasting peace, security and prosperity by the application of Franz Fanon applied stratagems of Alternative Dispute Resolution methodology through Dialogue and Constructive engagements.
