DA-Democratic Alternative have delivered on promise of sponsoring more youth to the National and State Assemblies and on the governorship than any other party of 91 political parties in Nigeria. DA top the chart of political parties that sponsored Most youth to the National Assembly sponsoring 218 candidates to the House of Reps of which 85 are youth benefiting from the YIAGA sponsored bill of the Not Too Young to Run. Similarly in the Senate DA also top the Chart sponsoring 93 candidates to the Senate of which 25 are Youth of the age bracket that is allowed in the new Not Too Young to Run Bill.
All these statistics were revealed on YIAGA Website and on their Twitter sites as the result of the research made by them in partnership with the EU in Nigeria , UN Youth Envoy and UNYouth.
Speaking on telephone with Hon Samson Itodo the Country Director of YIAGA who revealed this statistic on major Network News, H.E. Prince Frank Ukonga - the National Chairman of DA Democratic Alternative and the presidential candidate in the 2019 polls- Thanked the YIAGA Boss for appreciating DA for heeding the clarion call of power shift to the youth by sponsoring most youth candidates and he said he is :
"looking forward to youth response in voting for DA Enmass in the 2019 election. The youth constitute over 52% of registered voters in the 2019 election of 84 million voters. that means if the over 45 million registered youth vote for DA- the youth friendly party then the youth can truly grab power.
DA is fielding more than 1200 candidates in the 2019 election emerging the 3rd force in terms of fielding quality candidates only second to the APC and the PDP so DA is on ground across the entire Nation and is fielding sufficient candidates on National and state levels that can form a majority in the National Assembly and all states assemblies of the Nigerian federation. So if all the youth of Nigeria votes for DA that is fielding over 70% youth candidates across the 36 states and the FCT then it translate that the only chance and opportunity for which the youth can grab power on National uniform level is to adopt DA as the youth party and for all the youth of Nigeria to vote for DA. This is simple arithmetic and simple dialectics.'
'Whence at last, the opportunity has come for the youth to grab power on a National basis by voting for DA. A vote for DA is a vote for the youth to grab power and edge out the old re circled candidates"
